Kevin Harcus


Kevin rejoined the team as an analyst in September 2016. He previously interned at New Economics during the summer of 2015.

Kevin graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in June 2016, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a financial management concentration. At Cal Poly, he was a member of the school’s Financial Management Association, as well as the Cal Poly Investing Club. His senior project thesis, titled, “Effect of E-Commerce on California Sales Tax Revenues,” involved an in-depth analysis of recent e-commerce trends, tax laws throughout the state, and market responses to a proposed implementation of sales tax to internet vendors. He also wrote, directed, and edited a short film titled, “Taking Out the King,” for his minor thesis in media arts and technology. The film won an Audience Favorite Award at the Cal Poly Short Cuts screening at the 2016 San Luis Obispo International Film Festival.

Kevin is currently in graduate school at San Jose State University in the Advanced Certificate in Geographic Information Science (GIS) program.
